It was like a cute girls doing cute things anime, but in an action fantasy setting, so everything felt a lot more fresh. And the action was good, too! Every episode was so much fun, and the characters were great. The "story" had a good pace to it, so there was always something fun going on. Maple's OP-ness was a bit silly at times, but it worked well enough in the context where it was usually treated as a joke, so it was all good.
