The Old Testament God and New Testament God seem like two totally different Gods, for sure.

That's because the story of Jesus was stolen entirely from the Mithras mystery cults that came from Persia. The entire story of both of them is actually an astrological allegory for the movement of the sun through the twelve signs of the Zodiac. This is why he had 12 disciples, their personalities are from their respective Zodiac sign.

His birth is celebrated on December 25th because it's three days after the Winter Solstice (the shortest day of the year) which is when the days start getting longer again. He was born between the signs of Sagittarius (the horse) and Capricorn (the goat) hence "born in a manger." 30 years later (actually 30 degrees of the sky when the sun enters Aquarius the water bearer) he met John the Baptist and was baptized in water. Then, when the sun enters Pisces, he recruited 12 fishermen as his disciples. The miracles he began performing after this were all symbolic of the sun as a bringer of abundance and health. The Last Supper is actually the harvest, and the 30 pieces of silver Judas betrayed him for (actually a pretty paltry sum even then) is the harvest moon. He was betrayed at the end of the time of Virgo in the garden of Gethsemane, a word that means "oil press," they grew olives in this garden, hence they made virgin olive oil there. Then, Jesus faced judgement under the sign of Libra, was scourged and paraded through the streets during the sign of Scorpio, which is called the persecuter. Finally, he was crucified under the sign of Sagittarius, who in addition to being a horse is also an archer and symbolic of Death, he died on the day of the Winter Solstice, went down to Hell for the three shortest days of the year, and was resurrected when the days started getting longer again.

Every time you praise Jesus, you're really just worshipping the Sun.
