The writers making Zeno magically have some plan that doesnt even make sense is bad writing as its out of character. 17 was literally the only guy in the top 5 that would have revived the other universes, so his plan doesnt even make sense in context. Just because the writer made a character claim he had a plan doesnt make it not out of character bs. People shouldnt be glad about shit like this. The kid made a cross-universe cage match that was for keeps. Thats inhuman. You cant just go Jk, I knew you guys would revive the guys I erased! Good show! Zeno should be a chaotic neutral force. As hes been depicted the entire show. Im just glad they patched it up with an explanation because the tone of the entire tournament was weird and awkward up until that because we had this happy, naive child who was actually a fucking genocidal maniac for no reason besides his own amusement up until that point. And as a viewer it was hard to root for any side because we knew trillions of innocent creatures were being obliterated because their team lost in a martial arts contest.
