EffectAndCause 03/30/20 1:29:47 AM #1:	- Beerus saga was pure hilarious fun and I had a cheesy ass smile on my face the entire time, him and Whis are the best new additions to the show by far, Super Saiyan God/their battle was great and Shenron being afraid of Beerus was the funniest thing in the entire franchise - Golden Frieza saga was okay, of course we had the GOAT make a return but he never seemed like a real threat, though him suddenly destroying the planet was a shocking twist but I knew right away it wasnt gonna be permanent, didnt like how Super Saiyan Blue seemed to come out of nowhere where SSG had proper build-up - Universe 6 Tournament saga was more fun, Goku/Hit and Vegetas tough love with Cabba were the highlights, along with the hilarious Beerus/Champa rivalry - Zamasu saga was fucking amazing and by far my favorite thing since the Cell Games, had everything I love about DBZ in one saga with awesome action, drama, suspense and the return of one of my all-time favorites in Future Trunks, excellent themes about existence itself from the Gods perspective - Tournament Of Power saga was fucking LOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGGG, I know it was a battle royale with 80 fighters but each 22 minute episode only passing a single minute of match time was brutal, I think there shouldve been faster eliminations in the first half, though of course there were a lot of great moments in Goku/Kefla, Goku/Jiren, Vegeta/Top, Ultra Instinct Goku and the returns of 17 and Frieza as an anti-hero was a lot of fun, the last 10 episodes were much better than the preceding 20, im glad we got the big reveal at the end that Grand Zeno had faith the winner would gain empathy from their experience and use the dragon balls to wish back all the universes he destroyed because the entire time I was thinking he was a goddamn sociopath --- https://imgur.com/wMshiEN <cite>EffectAndCause posted [p:936463164] in Finished D... I was worried they would be cutting away constantly to Earth and Goten/Kid Trunks taking care of the island, but they focused on ToP the whole time. I just wish there would have been more conflict between other universes, like the Hit/Jiren fight. He's mentioned it a few times and ranked them accordingly. He wants to see if mortals can be trusted to run the universes better, despite his apparent "Mortal Level" system. Since Zeno would have to honor it. Though I dont think the ToP wanted you to root for anyone else but team Goku. The wolf guys were the most sympathetic but they were out first. I feel like more could have been done to flesh out characters without Team Goku eliminating everyone. Maybe get a glimpse of Jirens backstory vs Hit. That way we as the audience actually feel bad that our heroes are causing other universes to be erased and maybe give Goku some awareness. I just think Zeno and the high angel guy should have been the antagonists just by virtue of them forcing everyone to fight for their lives. Jiren would be the physical obstacle, sure, but 17s choice should not have validated Zeno imo.
