I don't know what rebounds you expect the airlines to have. Spirit may have an easier time recovering because of their low cost structure but American/others could hurt them if they pursue low cost fares. In a vacuum I feel like Spirit would be a nice long term investment, in terms of risk. But if other major airlines just want to get bodies on planes in Q3, then I think Spirit will only be "Okay". The big airlines also have to deal with some setbacks in how they have managed their stock value. Too risky for me personally, long term, with solid blue chip stocks on the table at a discount.

Gold is tricky because it's an inverse performance stock that isn't doing what you'd expect. It's an intriguing look into the market overall.

How do you guys determine when to buy during the day? Do you use your gut feeling or look at predictions on how the stock is going to move?
