I'm not seeing any reason to actually believe that projection, the various government reactions plays into that way too heavily. If, come April 1st, Trump comes out and says "We did it, Covid-19 is defeated, everything is back to normal", it's going to be massively different than if things stay quarantined. There isn't any significant reason to believe that the inflection point for death is 15 days away, let alone what every hospital in the US is going to react to this.
