If you want to shut down your life and hide in the basement for a whole summer over what 'might' happen then who am I to stop you? If the media spent more time saying most people who get it will feel like crap for a week or two and be fine instead of promoting the death toll (worldwide of course, bigger numbers mean more viewers) there'd be a lot less stress and anxiety. Are you in a hotspot or something? DPs do you seriously think that if 10% of the population just up and vanished that everything would be okay? There's no possible way it would be. And many MANY more would die from the fallout.
