Your point wasn't that a 10% mortality rate was unlikely. Your point was that a 10% mortality rate was no big deal in view of a 90% survival rate. If infection becomes truly widespread, 10% population losses amid a nation of 323 million people translates into tens of millions. Do you really find such figures acceptable? Do you really think this is business as usual?
