Even in cases of first parties, it has been very, very rare for someone other than the "main" character to be playable before anyone else from their game/series. The two arguable exceptions are Pokemon, in which four Pokemon got represented before the trainer himself, and let's face it, they're all way more iconic and Pikachu is flat-out the mascot, and Fire Emblem: Awakening, where you could argue that Chrom is the lead but he had to sit out a game while Robin and Lucina got the green light. This is why people shouted ad nauseam that Byleth would be the Three Houses rep instead of the infinitely more popular Edelgard, and they were right. --- darkx ... Copied to Clipboard! |
