The news this morning says we are aproaching 100k cases identifies and about 1300 deaths so far.

That isn't actually bad news considering how many we had yesterday, but the bad news for today is that there are more "hotspots" where the virus seems to be starting to spread fast.

Yesterday and before that was mainly WA, NY and CA.

Many other places had stay at home orders etc, and we were hoping that would stop it from spreading.

Yesterday I heard that NEw Orleans was also being hit, but today it looks like Florida, and Detroit and Chicago are starting to have high nummers as well (along with Louisiana already being added yesterday.

Currently if you look at a map of the virus (they have it on the NY times from this morning), the spots with alot of activity, where the virus is spreading, is still VERY small, compared to the whole country and many large cities.

NY has more then the rest of the country combined, significantly. The danger of course, is if it continues to spread to more cities every day. Most of the 100k is in one small area, a tiny, tiny percentage of the country, and total population. If this gets out and spreads like it has in NY, we are going to be not only in serious trouble, but perhaps in more trouble than anywwere in the world save maybe India.
