Ok let me put it this way a mask will not help great grandma ethel avoid the convid19 virus unless she is huffing the direct sneezes of infected people. This is not a miasma. This virus works by physical contact with infected fluids. So yes the aerosol of an infected person will get you sick however its the already least likely cause of infection. What gets a person sick is when an infected individual puts infected fluids on a surface and then an uninfected person rubs a mucous membrane or inflamed tissue. The result is the virus is allowed into the body.

Unfortunately for most people you cannot got 30 mins withut touching your face which means that rubber gloves and face mask give a false sense of security and honestly they are more likely to get sick. People currently have the same logic as a guy who thinks you can use a condom again if you turn it inside out
