NYC already started a "bail reform" in January that allows ALL violent criminals to be released within hours of being arrested. Crime has skyrocketed as a result and Eliza has been a vocal supporter of it the entire way. Now her and her people are weaponizing the current coronavirus situation for their own gains. They're claiming that "crime is down" while ignoring the context of nobody leaving their houses. They're pushing for the DA's office to outright stop prosecuting cases and for the mass release of city inmates to "halt the spread of the disease" (how that wouldn't have the exact opposite effect is unclear). It's absolutely disgusting. Sure, "it's a fucking stick" was fun. Yay Eliza.
