It's got that ominous sense of impending dread, especially with the bell chiming in the background. I like the cool little flourishes this version goes for here. trdl23 posted... The best part is, whenever the song gets performed live, they actually act out a time stop during it! Oh, another Sephiroth theme. Or it's Sephirot here, I guess? Either way, this one doesn't do much for me. It's a little too hard for me without being campy like the previous one, and it just goes on too long. NBIceman posted... Just realized how severely lacking this topic is in the actual best FF game. Oh hey, this is probably one of my favorite FFXII songs! Good thing, too, because you hear a lot of it since boss battles in this game take so long! Hbthebattle posted... Bravely Default - Wicked Flight Yes, this is good stuff! I like the fast pace and the switching back and forth between instruments seamlessly as the song goes along. FFDragon posted... I've finally decided to try my hand at getting the bookends. BEHOLD! You'll have to try better than that! I love the original tune, and you can still hear it loud and clear in this arrangement! I actually kinda dig the weird sounds it goes for here! Kotetsu534 posted... I think it's only included on the Japanese version's OST so it just popped up in my suggestions one time. Okay, let's go back to the 20th century... Oh man, I have a history with this song. When I first played FFVIII, I got stuck at a part during the sorceress assassination mission where I literally could not figure out where to go next (Caraway had moved behind the crowd, but I didn't see him move back there, and I didn't realize you could even move back there with how thick the crowd was!), so I heard this song on a loop for a solid hour. It even got to the point that I made up my own lyrics to go along with the tune! I mean, they were nothing fancy, but it conveyed my frustration aptly! Even so, it's a good song at doing what the title claims, which is setting the stage for what comes next. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
