But since I'm probably going to be spending more time indoors for a while, this will be a nice thing to help keep me occupied! The rules are pretty simple: Post one song at a time I will rate the songs from 1-10 and keep track of them in tiers Once I have rated the song you have posted, you may post another one We'll keep going until I decide I don't want to rate songs anymore, I guess! Oh right, the tiers have appropriate quotes to accompany them! 10 Im the best! 9 Ooh, soft. 8 Im more complex than you think. 7 There aint no gettin offa this train we on! 6 Im a general, not some opera floozy! 5 This is far from the strongest of swords! 4 Too weak to stand, and still as arrogant as could be. 3 Being able to die is a great gift? I distinctly remember the first time this song played in the game and just putting my controller down so I could listen to it. And then the fact that it showed up each time you fought Gilgamesh made it even better. This is the type of song that just gets you hyped up for a fight. NBIceman posted... The Man with the Machine Gun Another very good song! It's upbeat and quirky, which is befitting of the switch from Squall to Laguna as the viewpoint character in FFVIII. It almost feels like there should be a disco ball hanging above the battlefield whenever this song starts up! Man, FFVIII has such good battle themes. pyresword posted... I'm impressed by the ability to find lyrics that fit the tune of the song and also fit the moment the song is about. Really pretty singing voice, too! I'm one of the weirdos who actually prefers FFVII's regular battle theme over the boss theme! It's just really catchy and mixes things up enough so you aren't just sick and tired of listening to it by the end of the game. I love the way the song crescendos right before starting over.
