So I wonder if they could write a blanket contract extension into the CBA, I was picturing a full continuation/resolution of the season like this -Hockey is back in June, full resolution of regular season, fully playoffs -March-April-May-Early June becomes June-July-August-early September -3 month offseason, CBA date now October 1 -Training camps and exhibition games in December -Abridged season begins early January, just like in the lockout season, no all-star game Probably easier to just cancel the reason of this season and have a full one next time than trying to make things up now, especially over the summer, nobody would be interested in that (probably not the NHLPA either).
