The whole song is built around this one instrument, and it works very effectively. Theres a lot of variance, it feels like something different happens every measure. The Elite Four battle theme is sooooo good, to the point where Im honestly let down by the second half, which isnt as exciting. But I love the Elite Four theme so much that, even though I dislike the instrumentation compared to the original, its presence here is literally enough to propel the song to an 8. 23. Pokmon Conquest - Electric Battle https://youtu.be/jomsk0dO7fU @SuperbVEVO (ELIMINATED) Shinichiro Nakamura Shoutouts to Pokmon Conquest, which had two songs nominated for it that both lasted until the very top. As Ive said before, I dig on traditional Japanese-style instrumentation, so this song is right up my alley.
