This was one of the best games I've ever played. (Before you asked after beating the game I watched all the switch exclusive scenes). The story in this game was typical but it was the party bonding and world building that really set this game apart for me. In most games, even earlier Dragon Quest games, you just goto a town maybe solve their problem and never visit again. The fact that you spend so much time in repeating locations is fantastic.

What you do for platinum
-Beat the game (70% of trophies)
-Level all to 99 (metal slimes make this easy)
-Make every cosmetic item (around 10 hrs of grinding for parts you cant buy)
-Ride every mount (did this on the course of playing the game)
-Talk to every cow (easy to miss the second cow in one area)
-Do every puff puff (only easy to miss one is in a dungeon)
-Get 75 mini medals (was shocked only this amount but you really need 90 for cosmetic stuff whomp)
-Finish the Wheel of Harma challenges (cakewalk)
-Shoot every target in the world with a crossbow (boring but easy with a map
