I dont know if theres even a version of this with non-chip samples or live instruments, but I love how the relentless percussion serves as the backbone here, and how the different sound channels have this nice interplay. Thats a quality thats best found in chiptunes. This song, much my comments on Route 10, feels slower than it actually is, and thats really neat to hear. HG/SS gave a unique remix to each beast, but I prefer this chiptune version. It simultaneously has this majestic, flowing feeling to it while also being very high-energy in a way that I dont think Ive quite heard before (maybe just as far as chiptunes, at least).
