Things will likely be okay for most people but this strain is turning out to be a lot more contagious than the CDC expected. The good news is that the survival rate in developed areas seems to be much higher than what is being seen in rural areas with less access to medical care, but respiratory viruses are a serious thing and there have been some relatively healthy people that have died.

I dont think people should panic but I do think it would be smart to take things seriously. Wash your hands, maybe stock up on an extra weeks worth of food just in case, and think twice before going to any crowded events.
