Very malevolent but still sort of cartoony, so its a nice blend. GavsEvans123 is the last person who nominated four songs to have a nom drop off. Big congrats to them, especially given that they performed a bit less favorably in my last music ranking! 54. Pokmon X/Y - Kalos Power Plant https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeA53uP_bxU @Prody_Parrot (2 left) Shota Kageyama Some funky beats here, and aint nothing like a funky beat. I like a lot of the production here: very smooth, very clean, with a solid melody and a solid drumbeat and all that fun stuff. I know I compare songs to other series a lot, but if you had me listen to this and told me it was by David Wise, Id be inclined to believe you. 53. Pokmon Gold/Silver/Crystal - Lance & Red Battle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zCFa1a_XCY @Zyxyz0 (1 left) Junichi Masuda When I was rating everything, I originally had a song at last place a 1.5 that I thought would piss people off, because of how iconic it was. It was this song. But during the relisten, it really clicked for me in a very profound way. Its more than a normal battle theme theres definitely a sense of ominous dread, like youre up against a huge obstacle you dont know if you can get past. Thats super neat. Almost all of the remaining GSC songs started out pretty low, but got bumped up on relisten. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
