I have lied, on purpose, by accident, and to myself, but don't make a habit of it, and I try and avoid it. In order to vote at all on the primaries, I have to lie and declare myself a democrat (or in future elections possibly a republican), which I do not consider myself to be. If I don't do that, I can't vote till the end. To further that, my "lie" is then made public, stating to the world I am something which I am not, or do not consider myself to be. I should be able to vote while being classified as undecided at least.
