We find that Dr. Jurati was also probably his lover, and that she did make a significant contribution to the creation of the twins. And then after finally finding him she just murders him? What about, I dunno, trying to talk to him or convince him that what he did may have been wrong (at least according to whatever it is that they showed her)? She's a scientist for fuck's sake, not a cold-blooded killer. They made that pretty apparent when she shot that Romulan at Chateau Picard. But nope, her first and only action is to kill Maddox immediately upon being alone with him.
