Games don't resell for much anyway, even if I wanted to sell them, so why bother?

How do I afford not selling them? Well...
Until just this past gen or so, I would NEVER get a console until the new gen was out and the old ones were super marked down. The games in turn also tended to be cheaper by then.
(Now with all the stupid pre-order only content and the fact that most games are half price within a year anyway and within 2-3 years all but the most common titles are gone from store shelves and can end up becoming MORE EXPENSIVE than at launch due to rarity, it kinda forced me to keep up w/ the times more)

Also this. I usually don't buy that many games. Probably average ~ 8 games per console. That's it.
I buy games I think I'll like or will be good, I don't just buy up hundreds of titles on a whim.
