I generally preferred the cast from 1 to 2. I seem to be in the minority on that. Hajime is a marginal improvement over Makoto, and there weren't any characters that I especially liked. Yeah, the median is probably higher, but the mean is not because the highs are higher in 1. Kyoko, Byakuya and Sakura are too good for anything 2 has to offer. (Then again, I thought Gundham was obnoxiously annoying, and everyone else here adores him, so what do I know?)

Improved Hangman's Gambit is super easy if you're playing with (keyboard and) mouse, but you know what isn't? The stupid swords rebuttal game.

But yes, 2-5 is amazing and game 3 is worth playing. The cases start off kicking your ass even from the beginning.
