I'm really wondering how much of FFXII's development was done under Squaresoft. What happened to Ito anyways? He hasn't made a game since. If I remember it was the game in development while the merger happened. You can see the changes to the series starting here with the introduction of Vaan and Panello as awful leads. Yeah that and the plot taking a complete nosedive during the second half.
