Apartments where I live, I went to take the trash out one day last year and I looked inside the dumpster I picked (we have those cube ones with the sliding doors). There was TONS of manga, I mean really old stuff from the 80s and 90s. I'm a comic collector, so I was able to estimate this was at least ten longboxes full of stuff. But it was all really badly water damaged. I guess someone had a pipe break or something. :( That definitely sucks. It probably why they threw them out. If they were mine, and I was just a reader, I'd probably keep them if I liked to reread them. For a collector, though.
