Oh so I made it into Silver Snow Part 2 like two days ago.
Part II starting world state spoilers: I find it kinda hilarious that Edelgard is in a significantly stronger starting position to begin Part 2 in Silver Snow than in Crimson Flower. In Crimson Flower each of the 3 nations basically has the same borders they always did with the stalemate established among the existing borders. Dmitri still rules the Kingdom and Rhea and the Church of Seiros moved into the capital with him. In Silver Snow there was a coup in the Kingdom with the capital falling and Dmitri presumably run out to the resistance in the small slice of the Kingdom still holding out. Rhea is MIA with the Church scattered looking for her. Hell, while the Alliance situation is mostly the same between them IIRC the narration makes it look closer to the brink of fracture in Silver Snow than it did in Crimson Flower. Wow, Byleth and the Black Eagles totally held Edelgard back didn't they? (For real though I have ideas on why this is the case but it requires some theories involving later CF reveals and I only marked spoilers for the start of Part 2 here) And of course from a campaign standpoint it would be anti-climactic if CF started and Byleth woke up to find Edelgard had conquered the whole continent minus like 2 sieged capital cities in CF lol.
