I don't understand why people take award shows as the objectiveness of whether or not something is good or bad. Must be a hivemind thing. What is "controversial" about some people saying they like something. I don't care in the slightest who wins awards at these shows and others shouldn't either I don't get it. I'd guess it has something to do with feeling validated when your favorite artist or song wins an award. I can't really see why else anyone would care what a group of people they've never met think about music. --- How's my posting?
