Like the nominees are in the room while the nomination process is happening. They also pick well known names over obscure artists in hopes the stars come to the show and perform. Award shows are nothing more than the opinions of a small group of people. I don't understand why people take award shows as the objectiveness of whether or not something is good or bad. Must be a hivemind thing. What is "controversial" about some people saying they like something.
