How is this even a question?

OF COURSE it's okay to ignore/block other users.

In fact, I highly ENCOURAGE the practice.

The only people who would be bothered by such a thing.....are the people who are getting blocked and ignored by others.

And why would that be? Why would someone have ignored/blocked you?

It doesn't just accidentally happen.

You fucked up.

Deal with it.

I grow sick of these message boards where people spend more time whining about trolls and actively engaging with them.........than actually having concrete discussions and civil conversations.

If someone is bothering you....ignore/block them.

Don't keep them around because "they entertain you" or some shit. Stop engaging with them. Stop feeding them. Stop arguing with them. Stop stalking them around the boards. Stop tagging them negatively so you can dwell on a negative interaction you had with them years ago.

Let. Them. Go.

Take the higher ground.

Be the mature one.

Ignore and/or block them.

And this is where you try to say that ignoring/blocking someone is the immature thing to do.

I see it differently.

Ignoring/blocking someone who you know is a toxic individual....is preventing you from dealing with their crap in the future. You are fixing the problem by preventing the problem.

There are thousands of other users you can still interact with. The loss of a few trolls here and there is no skin off your back.

So yeah.

Making it so somebody can't see your own posts fixes no problems since there was never a problem in the first place.
