Karnov, Rush n Attack, Rambo, Metal Gear, Contra, Ikari Warriors, 1942, Kid Icarus... maybe Rygar, Blaster Master, Dragon Warrior, baseball, Mike Tyson's Punch Out...the original Zelda was sort of a sleeper and I really think that if it weren't for the gold cartridge and Nintendo Power it might have just gone under the radar like Jackal or Balloon Fight. There was always the one weird kid on the block that had Golgo 13 or M.U.S.C.L.E. Yeah, Nintendo went all out to make Zelda seem special. On top of the gold cartridge, there's the fact that I believe that was the first non black box Nintendo game, so everything about it screamed "This is a big deal" ... Copied to Clipboard! |
