Topic	What was the first Zelda game you played?

I definitely played both before Link to the Past came out, though. And then afterwards I basically lost interest in the franchise forever. It was never really a bad game, people were just pissed because it was so different from the original (the same reason why so many people shit on Chrono Cross over Chrono Trigger). But it's pretty good in its own way (and I'd be tempted to say the same thing about it that I saw about CT/CC, which is that the sequel is better than the original no matter how many people refuse to accept it). I feel like the hate is retroactive. At the time I didn't recall kids complaining about Zelda II being different because like, every sequel was different here at the time, ie, SMB2 and Castlevania II.
