DSP almost pulled an unwinnable by mistake in KOTOR.

In theory he could abuse solo mode to solve the flood gate puzzle in manann, but he could easily lock himself in the flooded gates if he fucked up. Luckily, bioware figured we try that shit, and by default the party members are together again to not be separated during puzzles when interacting with them.

During my first play through of the game after "The choice", i encountered the worst glitch ever because somehow the game let me up at the summit before i ever solved the puzzle in the catacombs. The door leading back stayed locked after i turned to the darkside, and kid me had no idea how fucked i was for hours.
