Topic	Favorite video game mascot/character

I never really gave much of a shit about mascots for any game or console, but if I'm going to try to go with something iconically "gamer", my mind immediately leaps back to the Atari 2600/ColecoVision era. In terms of which character whose games I've enjoyed most, that would technically be Master Chief, because I'd rate Halo in general way over the rest on that list. But that was generally more in spite of the Chief, rather than because of him. And he's not even in my favorite game in the series (Reach). papercup posted... No Kirby?
