When even just a few crews unionized in different parts of the country, our pay doubled and hours halved and safety equipment is standard now

I would be terrified of a non-unionized police force tbh

Police unions are radically different than, say, a steelworkers union. To compare the two is intellectually dishonest.
I wasn't being serious. I'm very much pro union as long as they're active in helping their workforce.
