Get rid. The concept of removing toxic people from your life applies across all relationships, whether it's partners, friends or family.

TL:DR version: Cheaters cheat, and not just sexually. If you let her get away with it, she'll abuse your trust in other ways too.

Story version: I was seeing this girl for a little while (was never going to work out long term anyway for a bunch of reason, chiefly as I was 28 and she was 18). She cheated on me multiple times when going out with friends - in hindsight not a surprise, she was easy AF when drinking. Despite that, though, we did naturally get on really well so we stayed friends. Cue 3 years of me being helpful and supportive multiple times, and her only making time for me when she felt like it.

We were talking about going on holiday somewhere, and settled on Berlin - we were paying 50% of everything each so it was all good, but I needed to get the deposits on flights and hotel down quickly so I paid those off and that counted as part of my 50%... then 3 days before, she bails on the whole holiday because she'd spent too much money clubbing, costing me a whole load of money (hotel returned deposit, airline wouldn't). Have barely spoken to her since, despite numerous attempts by her to "reconnect". Fact is, whether it's relationship, emotional, financial... if she's happy to abuse your trust one way, it won't be limited to just the one.
