And now apologies for the double post, but now I want to take a look at HOW Phil brought the news, not so much the news itself.

First of all, we have seen Phil distraught. When he got banned (albeit temporarily) from Twitch, he was visibly shook. His demeanor had changed, he was extremely nervous and actually worried.

None of this during the stream. He seemed to believe that bankruptcy is his golden ticket out of the mess he created. And lets be honest here: the entire fucking situation is his own doing. Horrible spending habits that border on addictive behaviour, buying things he doesn't need with money he doesn't have. Not setting money aside for his taxes, making the bare minimum (if that) payments on his credit cards, spending huge amounts of money to fly Kat over and move her across the country. So make no mistake, even though Phil loves playing the victim, and even tough I believe that his income has gone down over the last decade (and failed to adjust his lifestyle), this entire situation is his own fault.

What also was "typical" of Phil, was his victim narrative, and the way he described his meeting with his "bankruptcy attorney". First of all, I don't feel he has one. Because if he did, he wouldn't act the way he does. This is what I meant with not appreciating the gravity of the situation. He stands to lose so much including his WA condo.

What also struck me as weird, is how Phil described how the conversation went. Basically Phil did no wrong (it fucking isn't) and how he explained about his trolls and how they found out about the foreclosure (even though it is public information now), the attorney suggested making it public. He almost went on his standard "they loved me and my content, but..." rant.

Phil has taken zero responsibility in this situation, by the way he told everything. It's not his spending habits, it's not that he took no action to lower his expenses, or anything else. It's the trolls.

It's also this inaction that is incredibly telling. He received a court summons for a hearing about the mortgage, but completely ignore this. Which seems to be his default approach: hope that it blows over. This reflects in his behaviour and belief that filing for bankruptcy will make everything okay.

To extrapolate a little, imagine how the conversation between Phil and the attorney must have gone. Here comes a man that wants to file for bankruptcy, and you, the attorney, asks to see Phil's finances. Then he says he has 2 houses, admits to buying things on credit but not paying that debt, not paying his mortgage, not paying his taxes and then casually mentions spending tens of thousands of dollars on fucking mobile games. Who would take him seriously? And at the very least, not demand to make some drastic changes to AT LEAST make the judge believe you are trying?

As I've said numerous times, his behaviour doesn't match what he is saying. The way he is acting, believing this will simply blow over tells me that he has no fucking clue what he is in for. On top of that, the whole thing was just a way to get people to step up, he literally said that he doesn't need less money (because his expenses are going to be cut), but he needs more, and more support than ever.

Everything, almost literally everything Phil owns, is paid for by Youtube and his audience. He squandered the money given freely by others, and then expects those very same people to now give him even MORE money, to clean up the mess he has made. I hope now, more than ever, that there is going to be a paypig exodus. If people still give Phil willingly money after admitting he pissed all their money away to help him through a bankruptcy they are as stupid as Phil is, maybe even worse.

Phil also seemed upset, but not about the bankruptcy, but rather people finding out about Midfirst suing him before he could tell the news himself, meaning he lost control over the narrative. And even though that everything was proven to be true, people should listen to Phil, not the detractors (calling them insane and mentally ill as usual), even though Phil has been proven time and again, to be a really unreliable source of information.

Phil was angry at his detractors lashed out, flipping the bird. All the while taking exactly ZERO responsibility for the situation at hand. He will continue to play the victim, keep dodging his duties as an adult, will keep trying to spin the narrative and honestly believes that things will work out.

Phil really needs to hope he can file for bankruptcy before the Midwest bank can attach a lien to his house, because then things could get way WAY ugly, and he doesn't seem concerned in the slightest...
