| MariaTaylor 01/14/20 9:08:28 PM #74: | eh, I sort of get that sentiment, but I think it really does not appreciate the complexity of the human condition. sure -- if a person's worth is defined strictly by how many robots they build -- then I guess she has "settled" and fails to reach her full "potential." but if humans are allowed to just be happy, and spend every day with the person that they love, then I think Maru has a very satisfying conclusion to her arc. at this point she doesn't even need to continue working at the clinic. so it's more likely she does it because she enjoys taking care of the people in Pelican Town. plus there is nothing stopping her from continuing to work on engineering and science projects. the same as before she got married. having a hard working, rich spouse would certainly allow her the free time to do so. --- now I only see your dull imposter https://imgur.com/BYYr6fn ...
