If you are planning to do all four routes, you're going to run into repetition no matter what you do. I can't remember if they added the new character to Crimson Flower before or after you beat it so you might need to do that route again anyways to get all the supports. After. I finished my playthrough before any of the patches/DLC. But that'll be a quest for a much later day.
