The Cape is smart enough to figure out how to escape I think, but I can't imagine he survives both the traps and Carrie. He's got no defense against TK powers. Ash vs Carrie would be an interesting fight but I don't give Ash the credit to solve the Cube, especially not before he does something cocky and careless that gets him killed.
