I've been using the nightly builds since before FF4 was out, and I've only had a couple spontaneous crashes, and no really unusable builds aside from one that broke Stylish and tried to cause problems there.
You've been luckier than me then. Aurora kept crashing on me so I had to switch down to Beta.
