Anyway, went back to Skalitz for a quest to dig up someone's hidden dovecote treasure. Didn't have a spade, so I had to ride to Talmberg, then come all the way back. If I'd known there was a huge battlefield here to pick over for spoils, I would've visited a lot sooner. Too bad the victors tend to be heavily armored bandits, making it difficult to kill one, let alone three or four. Anyway, dug up Beran's cup and a couple dollars, so I guess I'll go give it back to him in Rattay. No sense being too greedy. It's good to know that digging up graves and secret treasure increases Stealth, too...would've had my spade readied sooner if I'd known. EDIT: I've also been feeding Mutt fried dog meat and lard, so I think he's going to be the most powerful dog in Poland soon. --- Take me down from the ridge where the summer ends And watch the city spread out just like a jet's flame ...
