That would be incredible low. In Nevada at least there are regulations on return rates. It used to be like 98% for penny slots and then would get lower the higher the denomination (for slots).

A 50% return rate would be insane, nobody would ever gamble because your chances to win would be so low compared to your chance to end up broke.

The lottery is kinda like that though, and legal lol.

But yeah, it used to be possible to....milk the system so to speak. I believe it was mostly nickle slots at that point, but the return rate on nickle slots was pretty high (and you could actually bet a bunch of nickles so it was at least 25 cents a spin and often much more.

It was still technically a nickle slot though so it had the higher return rate, which meant eventually the slots would kick out alot of money. So people would sit around slowly playing, while they watched other machines near them, waiting for someone who had played along time but not hit a win to leave, then you switch to that machine. You keep playing it till you win/hit the jackpot) which always happened) and keep an eye out for another machine that had been played alot but didn't win while you were playing.

You then switch to that one and boom, you end up coming out ahead (well you did) every time.

I never left Vegas with less then $200 more then I went there with, even after getting married (I tried to explain to my wife how to do it, but she just wanted to have fun and would go from machine to machine and steadily lose money lol).

It wasn't really worth it, but back then you could make a good $20 an hour regularly doing that, while getting free drinks lol.
