There was a big lack of mods in general, from what I saw. A few texture packs, one or two license board complete overhauls, thats pretty much it.

Overall I think if I had literally just taken white mage I'd have been fine. Knight on main physical attackers, mix of shikari/bushi/uhlan/foebreaker/monk as secondaries for them (because you will wander your way into some OP weapon types earlier than others, so it helps to spread the number of useable weapon types amongst party members), one white+black/time mage. Pepper in anything else you might want to use. Archer and foebreaker are probably the only kind of underwhelming ones.

I used.... Monk/Bushi Vaan, Uhlan/Archer Penelo, Foebreaker/Shikari Fran, Time Mage/Knight Balthier, Foebreaker/Bushi Basch, and Red Mage/Black Mage Ashe. Main things I'd change would be foebreaker on Basch and red mage on Ashe. It's otherwise been pretty sweet. I was about 20 hours into my playthrough of zodiac age and was like level 60.

Interesting.

Having only done a very brief skim through the job/class system, I'll probably try to spread all 12 jobs for each of the six characters.

Of course, that's still a long ways off since I'm still putzing around the Calm Lands in FFX grinding out Tidus's overdrives.
