I was having dinner with a friend of mine the other night. He is considering breaking up with his girlfriend and wanted to bounce it off me, his friend. The discussion turned from relationships to sex. I know for most, this topic goes hand in hand, yet,

Now that I am a little older, I am not faced with too many of these situations, if it comes up though; I am not embarrassed to talk about it.

My friend said to me:
Since you and your girlfriend broke up over two years ago there has not been a significant relationship for you? " "Im just wondering, "--he says," How long has it been since you have...you knowhad sex?
(This came up in a general discussion about his situation, and the fact he feels he needs to break it off with his girlfriend, the sex is greatthis has been the major obstacle for him in making the break he was concerned he would be facing a dry spell for a while in the wake of his pending situation)

Well, I said...Ive never had sex.

He then made a point to clarify. You mean you have not had sex since your break-up? he said.

No, I said... I have never had sex beforeever.

Instead of resolving the very important matter of his lifeit now became all about me ... after the 20 minutes of disbelief and hysterical laughter faded two solid hours of discussion followed.

Every ten minutes he asks with the same tone of amazement in his voice:

So you are 46 and still a virgin?

Two hours later, about 10pm, actually, it was 10:05 precisely

He said (now with disgust, distain, and sympathy mixed in with the tone of amazement)

The whole sense of urgency rather freaked me out I declinedwhile mentioning Id consider another time....

He called last night. He had the talk with his girlfriend and she took it well.
He wants to take me out cruising for chicks next Tuesday night. He has convinced me that while sex is highly overrated, it is a necessary component in ones life, and I should get out there and participate. He is right.

When cruising for chicks in a bar, how do you determine your selection?how do you figure out which one might be the best?

Considering this will be the first time for meI need to put some real research into this between now and next Tuesday.
