I don't care since the best equipment can't be bought for gold.
So what can gold be used for?
Since it's starting to seem like gold is useless if all equipment is relatively on par with each other. If gold doesn't have some important use then all that's going to happen is that the Gold:Gem conversion rate is going to be enormous and make it effectively impossible to get gems without paying real money anyway.
