Phil also didn't want people to feel bad for him, after he guilt tripped people into donating, because contributions were slow again. So basically he is saying people shouldn't give him money while asking for money. I don't think Phil is actually trying to lie anymore, nor doing it on purpose. He just talks like this. All the years of isolating himself from the rest of society is really playing it's part on him. The CoD stream was particularly embarrassing because of the way Phil has been criticizing Cyberpunk 2077 for the amount of swearing in it. Because, you see, excessive swearing is immature. This from the guy who says things like, "Fuck this fucking game. Fuck you, you piece of fucking shit!"
