According to the major political parties, the best and brightest candidates for President from the entire eligible population of the US in 2016, were a reality TV "personality" and the comedy team of Hil&billy. Sort of makes you wonder. If it was the plot of a TV show, it would be criticized as unbelievable.

Hillary isn't a terrible politician, she just ran at the worst time for an establishment candidate. And, in general, the presidency tends to swing between parties every 8-12 years.
