who is to say that's why they're doing these changes?

to me, they're just updating the site to not be stuck in the 90's like it was up until about 4 years ago.

these are all quality of life changes, and they're all objectively good changes. you're just unhappy because they're don't function how you want.

there's nothing actually bad about the new chat system. it works how it should. and it allows for native image embedding, regardless of your feelings on image embedding, this is actually a really great thing that people have been asking for, for decades.

but, to you, it's garbage because it...linebreaks after a quote? does a few other minor things? that's nothing.

it's fine. it's not bad, at the very least. there's no reason for them to push a notification to everyone going "hey look at this stuff that 99% of users here don't really care about!".

the information is there if you want to see it, otherwise it can be ignored. or do you want them to be like reddit, with obnoxious popups all the time? you want them to post it on the home page that...no one goes to?
