But honestly, I wouldn't give a shit if it did somehow turn out to be the case, as long as she wasn't bothered by it either. We're not getting married and we're never having kids, so it doesn't really matter in any meaningful sense. And at this point we've been together so long and had enough sex that even if we stopped tomorrow it still feels like any damage that might be done has already long since been done. Like closing the barn door after the animals have already escaped. And the barn has mostly burned down. To get really philosophical, though, everyone on Earth is related anyway. We're all cousins to a greater or lesser degree.
